I’ve been fascinated by animation since I was a kid. It’s a magic trick that never grew old for me.

From giant sentinel battles in The Matrix sequels to holographically showcasing state of the art safety systems for Volvo, I’ve been fortunate to create a wide range of animation for a variety of mediums.

I thrive on the challenge of bringing characters and objects to life, from big, physical actions grounded in the real world to the nuances of character-focused animation that conveys thought, emotion and subtlety.

Over the course of my career I’ve been an Animation Artist, Lead and Supervisor for a variety of films, games and mixed/virtual reality projects.

Below is a sampling of animation work in my portfolio. It’s categorized into my more action centric animation from various feature films and projects, followed by examples of my character focused animation work and finally a glimpse behind the scenes with look development examples, prototypes and motion tests.

I love film and its ability to emotionally transport the audience and make the unbelievable believable. I worked in the film visual effects industry for over a decade. My worked spanned various projects for franchises like The Matrix, Spider-Man, G.I. Joe and ThunderCats.

The art of character animation is something I’ve always been enamored with. The challenge of embodying people, animals, characters, objects, etc. with life is intoxicating. I’ll never grow tired of taking a character from a T-pose thru a flurry of keyframes and finally bringing them to life. Simply put, I like making things move. These examples represent some of the different types of characters and performances I’ve had the chance to animate over the years.

There’s a lot that goes into visualizing in the incubation and early stages of a project. Much of that work doesn’t get seen since it doesn’t have the pizzazz of the outward facing content. This is a behind the scenes glimpse into some of the projects I’ve worked on. It includes motion tests, pre-viz animation, rig creations and more. Hopefully this will give you insight into my process and approach when working on a project.
